Top Comment: I love this creator, don't get me wrong and I do intend to check out this video. But Eeowna has been hyping up fae farm for months, so I can't imagine the review will be anything but excessively positive and brush aside any issues (other than the extreme ones). I watched Josh's gaming garden livestream about it and by general takeaway is that it's really pretty and extremely polished, but can be a bit repetitive and weirdly limiting

Fae farm reviews??

I wanted to see if anyone has played Fae Farm enough at this point to determine whether or not it’s worth the 60$? I want to buy it but the price is leading me to seek opinions first 😩
Top Comment: Purchased it today after watching some people on stream play it, and may have put 5 hours into it since then... fair enough to say I have definitely been enjoying it so far. Pros: The farming, bug catching, fishing, animals, and mining have all been implemented well. There is also cross breeding of flowers, so plenty of activities to do in a day. Bug catching, fishing, and gathering don't use stamina, so if you're out of energy for the day you can still do something. There seems to be a wide array of decorations for the farm and house, and the house is upgradeable. Progression has been satisfying so far, though maybe a tad bit slow. From the stream that I was watching the multiplayer seemed to be working pretty well, though there were some bugs, but they were easily solved by leaving and rejoining or relaunching the game. I personally haven't encountered any bugs so far. Cons: Price. I paid $40 on steam, though I feel like it should have been a $30 game. Definitely waiting to see what the dlc is to consider purchasing it Interactions with npcs and romance is pretty rough. I am in no way attached to any of the characters, their lines are repeated often, and they seem to be "dated" in that they keep mentioning things that happened a long time ago. The ordering of some character's dialogue is different, which can be a little annoying to adjust to. Like one character has the "chat" option in slot one, while another might have it in slot two, so some times I end up in a buy menu when I wanted to just chat. Time feels like it moves pretty quickly, would love to slow it down a bit. Overall it's been pretty fun so far. It definitely fits the cozy genre well, and borrows aspects from popular games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. Can't recommend playing on switch with the $60 price tag, but if you enjoy the genre and don't have any games to play can recommend for steam.

Due to the multiple posts a day about this game, a mega thread seems to be the best option for now. If people want to discuss Fae Farm, they are able to down below. Further posts will be locked and directed to repost in this thread, like the Palia referral codes. Again, please keep discussions kind.
Any push to harass other subreddits will result in comment removal and ban. Mentioning a sub in a civil manner is fine, CozyGamers has been mentioned, but actual brigading is against Reddit rules. There are expectations on both sides that comments remain mature.

Top Comment: I was super interested in Fae Farm but my interest has fizzled out. I think I'm just going to wait for reviews and if people like it, I'll pick it up on sale. I've seen that the NPC interactions aren't super great? And that was my main issue with New Horizons. The price is also crazy in my opinion for what looks like Roblox lol

Just started playing and accidentally skipped too quickly on the part where the mayor asks you to name your house 😩 Does anyone know if it’s possible to rename your home at a later stage?

Can confirm, just go to the bed and there’s the option to sleep or manage, and it’s in the manage bit. I did the same thing!
